Researching the Elderly
For the past few weeks we’ve been visiting elderly homes, meeting residents and carers and learning about their lives to try find insights into their lives and how we might improved them.
The course in User Research & Ethnography was led by people at Red Associates, an excellent company based here in Copenhagen. We visited a number of homes and then we were guided through a slow process of distilling information to discover the real needs of people in the homes.
Here’s a few snaps from the research:
Interviewing the residents.

Equipment the carers used everyday.
